Hello everyone I am back for another week of iOS reviews! This week was a decent week for gaming I hope you enjoy. The first game that I looked at was Dawn of the Immortals. Dawn of the Immortals is a hack and slash adventure. I am always skeptical of these typesof experiences in the palm of your hands regardless is it is iPhone or other mobile platforms because they generally do not work. Thankfully DOI is a pleasant surprise. The first aspect that this game succeeded with is the controls; I could tell from just starting the tutorial the Perfect World Entertainment put lots of thought into how to make maneuvering your character as fluid as possible. The reason the controls are so great is because you can switch from simple auto guided controls to controls where the player is in full control flawlessly. The second aspect that this game does well is bringing RPG elements and MMO aspects together that creates a great world to play and get lost in. Overall Dawn of the Immortals is a great experience, Perfect World Entertainment did a great job bring use this game.
Some games are just bizarre, because I am not sure where they get their inspiration from. This game is one of those games. Now out of all the things one could have Zombies doing Diving is a little weird because I have always thought that Zombies eat brains and such not diving for fun. Well in Zombie Dive you play as a diving Zombie who goes around challenging other Zombie divers into matches to see who is the best Zombie diver… like I said really bizarre. What I really liked about this game is the art work. I really enjoyed the cartoony design I thought it was fun and fits perfect with a bizarre game. The game has a simple concept behind the controls. At the top of the diving board you control the zombie’s trajectory and the way you touch the screen to controls which way he rotates and does his flips. What I did not like was that sometimes it felt like once you did your rotations the zombie would just continue to spin or hit something making you lose the match. Thankfully you are able to bribe the judges with a biscuit… which is also weird. If you are in the mood for an odd game that does not take itself too seriously then you should defiantly check out this game.
If you are in the mood for a game that involves a little bit of strategy then you should check out Armor Blade. Armor Blade is a type of Castel crashing game where you play as one of three character classes a tank, a swords man and a quick horseback rider. Your goal in the game is defeat your enemies by commanding different unites. What I really liked about the game was how easy it was to jump right into it. This is great because you do not have to sit around for hours playing to get good. You can just play this game while waiting for the bus. Another aspect that I liked about this game is the art and character design. The characters all look fantastic, gamers will not be unhappy with character design because they look so cool. Overall a decent game where you can put hours of into it or just play it casually. Well folks it’s a wrap 3 awesome games that will get you through the week.
