"80 Kardashian Hard Days"
Hello again everyone it’s time for another mobile showcase. This week I looked at a wide array of games, I honestly had such a great time playing these games as they are all unique and great fun. To start off I looked at 80 Days from Inkle Studios. The title itself does not give any clues to what this experience is about, so I was intrigued from the get go. Once you start the game you learn that it based off of Around the World in 80 days by Jules Verne. In the game you play as PhileasFogg’s valet Passepartout and well your goal is to travel around the world in 80 days. While traveling you must keep in mind your employer’s health, your relationship with him, the funds for your journey, your luggage and even all the routes that you will be taking to make your journey a success. What I really enjoyed about this game was the sense of adventure that you get from diving deep into this experience. Each city you visit feels unique and different form the last so you do not feel like you are just visiting a reskinned copy of the last. What I think gamers will appreciate about this game is how all the components of this game fit so well together. For instance if you have bought more eloquent clothes then traveling the more eloquent routes will be more efficient but if you play as more of a sleaze bag then methods of travel like that will be better. Overall a great game I think that all types of gamers will find something of value within this experience.
Gamers have you ever wondered what prison is like? But haven’t had the courage to commit a felony that will land you in the slammer. Well if that’s the case then I found a game that will allow you to experience all the joys of prisons. The game is called Hardtime and it is a prison sim and as weird as that sounds it is true. You play as a randomly generated character or a custom built one who has been sentenced to prison your job is to survive your stay. You do this buy earning money from little odd jobs, building a strong reputation and well not getting mugged and dying. The control scheme has a simple layout, on the left side of the screen we have our directional buttons and on the right we have our action buttons. The game can be jankie at times but that is all part of the charm of the game. What gamers will love about this game is just how wacky it can get. For instance if you go to the prisons chapel and find a broad sword. Yes in Hardtime there are broad swords in prison and with this broad sword you can go around attacking and killing other inmates. The wackiness is not the only thing this game has going for it though, there is a hunger bar, a sanity bar and even a bathroom bar (be careful of this bar because crapping yourself in prison is a great way to lose reputation). Hardtime is not a game you will be downloading for its graphics or amazing storyline but you will want this game because it is just so much fun.
I like to think of myself as an adventurer, not a real adventure as you’ll never catch me going somewhere dangerous like the Amazon but I am an adventure when it comes to weird games. I must say this is a weird game; I saw this game on the news and just knew that I would have to try this game. So I packed my survival gear and dove right into this experience not sure when I would escape its grasps. The game is the Kim Kardashian game; yes I know I am a brave man. In this game you play just your average shop clerk then one day you run into Kim Kardashian OMG so cool I know. You give her a dress then she invites you to a photo shoot and your quest to stardom begins. You create your character and you must build the most cute, sexy and stylish combos of clothes on your quest to become a shallow model. You go to all the parties and market yourself as you rise through the ranks of Hollywood, no more bus rides for this sexy lady. My models name is Dill Bert a very sexy name for a very sexy game. Enough kidding for now, surprisingly enough this was not a terrible game. Goofy shallow as it may be the runs great and is actually fun. I have to admit it was a little bit of a dirty pleasure playing this game. In my mind this is what this game has going for it, it definitely will not win game of the year, or will bring all gamers together like the Wii did but I think people will find enjoyment out of this experience because it allows you jump into the world of the glamorous without worrying about the drugs and the sex tapes. Well gamers there you have this week’s class of games a lot of variety for a wide range of gamers. I hope you enjoyed.
