For a while now I have wanted to check out a JRPG for the iPhone. This did take some digging to find this title but I was finally able to find one. I present Shall we Date: Destiny Ninja. Destiny Ninja is a JRPG where the story is you choose a ninja guard ranging from the noble baby face types of characters to the cold and stoic characters, they’re role in the game is to help you and protect you on your journey and help you discover love. This game is not for someone who wants lots of action, this game requires you to sit down and immerse yourself in the world. I had fun playing this game but sometimes the story did drag on and I got a little bored at times. Also for some odd reason the game just felt really choppy, like the people would be talking and the characters lips would not be able to keep the same pace as the text. What I really liked about the game was the manga art work throughout the game. Destiny Ninja is really a game that romance and manga lovers will enjoy a lot more than your average gamer. Overall this is a neat game with a decent story that you jump right into.
With the recent release of the Godzilla remake I thought it would be fitting to review a Godzilla game to get into spirit. Godzilla Smash 3 was an easy sell for me, the same as all games where your main objective is destroy things such as buildings, cars bridges and create utter chaos. The game does a decent job of taking you through all the iconic scenes in the movie; which is great if you have already seen the flick. Now here comes the part where this game is not that great, let’s start with how you must create different power ups. This would not be a problem if this was not Godzilla and just some small fry monster but I am Godzilla why the hell does the alpha predator need power ups? He already is a badass that can destroy everything in a blink of an eye. That was kind of lame; the second aspect of the game that needs some work is the loading time. To start off when opening the game it has trouble just getting to the main menu and if you are lucky to make it that far you are always stuck behind really long loading screens. I thought the “official” movie game would have been hella more epic but we were lied to again fellow gamers.
Hey gang, ready to take one hordes of alien monsters? If you do then you should really check Monster Shooter, this is a top down shooter that is much fun! You play as a monster that crash lands on a planet filled monsters that you must destroy to survive. This is a fast paced game that always keeps you on your toes; it is great for on the road or when you need to kill time in math class. What I liked about the game is that you can choose to manually aim your gun or have auto aim. This is great for the casual gamer and also the hardcore gamer that likes his games tough. Another aspect of this game that I think gamers will appreciate is that there are multiple game modes. There is a story mode, a survival mode and a lost chapter’s mode. Each mode is fun and exciting. If you are in mood for an easy game that makes you feel like a total badass then this is the one for you.
