Are you hungry for gold like a leprechaun and do you like a nice easy arcade game like the cookie game? If you do then Pot of Legend from Orca Inc. then this title is for you! The objective of this game is 1,000,000,000,000 gold, like I said a leprechaun will love this game. How you achieve this incredible task is by using the gold that you have already gained to purchase upgrades that gives you more characters to collect gold and giving you better modifiers and weapons. Pot of Legends is a great game for on the go because you will not need gigantic amounts of brain power to play. Apart from that this is a fairly simple experience. Gamers are required to do almost nothing, which bad for any game including mobile experiences. A problem that lots of games have is drawing the line between how much control a player should have, Pot of Legend clearly was not able to define how much control we should have. I say this because all you do is tap your screen to spawn more jars to break to get gold. In reality only a leprechaun will want to play this game for the gold.
A floating eyeball needs your help escaping from the prison he has been sent to. In Freeze! From Andreas Von Lepel it is your mission to help this little eyeball escape from his imprisonment. This game has a sleek noir styled look this similar to games like limbo using only a few colours. Freeze is a puzzle game where you use your fingers to turn the imprisonments so you can free the eye. This game has 25 puzzles that come with the app. Each getting harder as you progress throughout the game. If you really like the game then you can purchase the rest of the levels for $0.99 which is a onetime purchase. What I really liked about this game was how hard and addictive it was. It uses its physics to the most which I great for any game. One feature that this has that is cool is on some levels you can freeze the eye and then you can rotate the world around your character so you can complete it. This game is a great puzzle game, in my mind it can compete with some of the more establish games like Cut the Rope or Where’s My Water?
Calling interplanetary explorers, we have worlds that need to be explored and battles to be fought. Shattered Planet from kitfox Games is a survival game, you play as one of the many clones set out to research the “blight” a terror that all the galaxy will fear. Shattered Planet has all the elements that you want in survival game, gamers will not be confused of what their objective is at any time. This is a plus has sometimes in survival games you can get lost in what you are doing and lose all the enjoyment that one could have from a game like this. Shattered Planet also employs a Dark Souls type of experience in which you better be prepared to die if you want to succeed in this game. What I really liked about the game was how it looked. The style that it has reminds me of one of my favorite mobile games growing up(Final Fantasy Advanced Tactics). At the end of the day this is a solid experience on your mobile device that does the genre service and the mobile platform service.
