The world is more colourful now that we have Stubies! Stubies from Creatiu Lab is a great game that is packed with wacky fun for your iOS. Stubies is a puzzle game that requires the player to match Stubies by their colours in order to beat the level. Each stage has a set amount of Stubies that must be cleared in order to finish the level. After each level gamers are given a rating 3 being the best and 1 being the worst. The rating system is standard and familiar which is nice as a player will never be unsure of their score. What I liked about Stubies is the amount of different Stubies there are and the variety in levels. There are so many Stubies; there are your standard colour ones, then there are bomb ones, the multi-coloured ones. Each Stubie does something different for instance the multi-coloured ones can combined with any Stubie if you are able to combine it with another multi-coloured Stubie you will go into bonus. The variety of levels is another plus for the game. Levels sometimes have holes in the ground had Stubies can fall through; some levels have pillars that can be destroyed or moved. This just adds an element of the unknown that gamers will find fun and exciting. A great game overall, now can you match them all?
Ever have an annoying hipster talk to you how Kale and Green Tea are great for your health? And after that exact moment you want to just kick them as hard as can but can’t as like the rest of us you are afraid of the cops? Have no fear because I have a game for you! This title is called Hipster Smackdown from Phase 2 Games. How this games works is a hipster starts talking to your character and says something overly pretentious your character snaps kicking him right in the family jewels. How you play is you must make this hipster fly a set distance to beat the level if you do not well then you must try again. The game has two modes, one being the challenge mode and the other free play mode which is named Endless Smackdown mode. Challenge mode being a standard set amount of levels you must complete and free play mode you are just trying to beat your best distance; apart from that this game was purely comic relief for me. It was fun and all, but there really is not that much content. Hipster Smackdown did have beautiful graphics that add to a gamers overall experience. Hipster Smackdown is a fun experience great for comic relief but once you have played a couple of times it gets a little old. If you ever have a bad hipster experience now all need to do is picture them in your game and everything will be alright.
Venture deep into Paris’s underbelly with Broken Sword 5: The Serpent’s Cruse, a point and click adventure from Revolution. In Broken Sword you play as George Stobbart and Nico Collard as they try to solve what seems to be a simple inside job that has led to murder. This game has the classic elements that a gamer would expect from a point and click adventure. Broken Sword 5 has absolutely stunning graphics. The world is so well polished and vibrant one word comes to mind describing it, beautiful. What players will appreciate about this experience is the story filled with the fun and interesting dialogue. The story is quite solid players will find themselves at the edge of their seats, gamers will also find themselves hooked as I did, the only problem is that we are still waiting for episode two. The game is filled with hilarious and insightful dialogue. Each exchange you have between NPCs all feel unique, it is never as if you talked to the same character just in a different skin millions of times over. If you are like me and sometimes get lost in point in click adventures because the game is unclear, well you are in luck as this rarely happens in Broken Sword 5. It is easy enough to find out what you need to do in each stage this keeps you feeling good about yourself and not a complete bonehead. Well gamers in my mind it is time to put your detective cap on and solve this mystery.
